Jomel Warrican
Jomel Andrel Warrican (born 20 May 1992) is a West Indian cricketer. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a right-handed tail-end batsman. In September 2015 he was named in the Test squad for the West Indies tour to Sri Lanka. He made his Test debut against Sri Lanka on 22 October 2015, taking 4 wickets for 67 runs on the first day. Early career Born in Saint Vincent, Warrican moved to Barbados and attended Combermere School and joined the Empire Cricket Club. He was awarded the Lord Gavron Award for promising young cricketers in Barbados alongside Jason Holder in 2009 before representing the West Indies at the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was the second Gavron Award winner to spend a season playing for Sefton Park in the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition in 2011, taking 51 wickets and scoring 373 runs. Jason Omar Holder (born 5 November 1991) is a Barbadian cricketer and the former captain of the West Indies cricket team. He is a right arm fast bowling all-rounder. Holder made his One Day International (ODI) debut in January 2013 and Test debut in June 2014. In June 2019, Holder played in his 100th ODI match for the West Indies, during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In January 2019, he was ranked as the number one all rounder in the world according to the official ICC Test rankings. In August 2019, Cricket West Indies named him as the Test Player of the Year. The Regional Four Day Competition, formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup, is the First Class Cricket, first-class cricket competition in the West Indian cricket team, West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. The Barbados Cricket Association is the ruling body for cricket in Barbados. The BCA was established in 1933 by an Act of Parliament to replace the Barbados Cricket Challenge Cup Committee, which had administered Barbadian cricket since its formation in 1892. The current president is Conde Riley. Of the seven teams which participate in the inaugural season in 1892, four are still competing today – Lodge, Harrison College, Pickwick and Wanderers.
