Jolene McIvor
Jolene Campbell (born Jolene McIvor on August 12, 1981) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently skips her own team out of Winnipeg. Curling career Junior career Born in Saskatoon, Campbell won a provincial junior title in 2002, skipping a team consisting of Teejay Surik, Janelle Lemon and Maegan Strueby. At the 2002 Canadian Junior Curling Championships she led Saskatchewan to a third-place finish, after losing in the semifinal to Prince Edward Island's Suzanne Gaudet. 2007–2012 Campbell and her team of Sherry Linton, Allison Slupski and Marcia Gudereit, would win the Schmirler Curling Classic in 2007. Campbell was the alternate for the Amber Holland rink. She played in three Scotties to date as a member of the team, going 6-5 in 2010 and 2012 and winning it in 2011. Skip (curling)
In the sport of curling, the skip is the captain of a team. The skip determines strategy, and holds the broom in the ''house'' (target area) to indicate where a teammate at the other end of the curling ''sheet'' (playing area) should aim the stone. The skip usually throws the last two stones in the fourth position, but may play in any other position. Sometimes "skipper" is used; it can also be abbreviated as "S". It's also used as a verb ("skips", "skipped", "skipping"). It is conventional to identify a team by the name of the skip. 2012 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from Saturday, February 18 to Sunday, February 26 at the ENMAX Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta. This Tournament of Hearts marked the second time that Red Deer has hosted the Scotties; the first time that the Scotties was hosted in Red Deer was in 2004. The winning team, Heather Nedohin of Alberta, went on to represent Canada at the 2012 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in Lethbridge, Alberta. Nedohin won the final after she defeated British Columbia's Kelly Scott with a score of 7–6. Amber Holland
Amber Holland (born July 10, 1974) is a Canadian curler from Loreburn, Saskatchewan. Holland skipped Saskatchewan's team to a national women's championship in 2011 by defeating defending champion Jennifer Jones in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and won a silver medal at the 2011 Capital One World Women's Curling Championship. She also won a national championship at the junior level in 1992, and captured a silver medal at the World Junior Curling Championships in 1993 after losing in the final. Marcia Gudereit
Marcia Gudereit (born September 8, 1965 as Marcia Schiml) is a Canadian curler. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, she was part of Team Schmirler, the women's curling team that won a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. This team is the only 3-time winner of the World Curling Championship (1993, 1994, 1997). After Sandra died, she remained in the team, now skipped by Jan Betker for whom she currently plays. She curls out of the Caledonia Curling Club in Regina, Saskatchewan and works as a systems analyst for The Co-operators. Sherry ( es, jerez ) is a fortified wine made from white grapes that are grown near the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, Spain.
