Jolanta Kwaśniewska (Polish: , née Konty, ; born 3 June 1955) is a Polish lawyer and charity activist who was First Lady of Poland between 1995 and 2005, as the wife of the then President Aleksander Kwaśniewski. Biography She was a graduate of the 9th High School in Gdańsk. In 1979, she graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk, then tried to pass the judge's apprenticeship exam. During her studies, she was the head of the faculty council of the Socialist Union of Polish Students. In November 1979, she married Aleksander Kwasniewski. Jolanta Antas (born 20 February 1954 in Szczecin) is a Polish professor of linguistics at the Jagiellonian University of Kraków. Antas is the head of the Institute of Theory of Communication at the Faculty of Polish Language and Literature of the Jagiellonian University. She conducts research on pragmatic and semantic aspects of negation and lying. With a team of associates, she has drafted a ground-breaking scientific study called “The map of Polish expressions”.
