In the United States, the Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) are locally-based multi-agency partnerships between various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies tasked with investigating terrorism and terrorism-related crimes, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Justice.Jerome P. Fort Hood
Fort Hood is a United States Army post located near Killeen, Texas. Named after Confederate General John Bell Hood, it is located halfway between Austin and Waco, about from each, within the U.S. state of Texas. 2016 New York And New Jersey Bombings
On September 17–19, 2016, three bombs exploded and several unexploded ones were found in the New York metropolitan area. The bombings left 31 people wounded, but no fatalities or life-threatening injuries were reported. On the morning of September 17, a pipe bomb exploded in Seaside Park, New Jersey. 2015 Boston Beheading Plot
An attack was plotted by Boston-area resident Rahim Nicholas. Rahim initially planned to behead Pamela Geller but when that proved too difficult, he told his nephew David Wright on June 2, 2015, that he had decided to behead a police officer instead. However, Rahim was under 24-hour police surveillance, and the police moved that day to arrest Rahim. During the attempted arrest, the police shot and killed Rahim. Wright was arrested and initially charged with attempting to destroy evidence. Later, a third man, Nicholas Rovinski, was arrested, and both Wright and Rovinski were charged with conspiracy to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Jose Pimentel (born November 8, 1984), also known as Muhammad Yusuf, is a naturalized U.S. citizen arrested on November 20, 2011 by the New York City Police Department for allegedly plotting to bomb New York City. Early life Pimentel is originally from the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when he was five years old. In 2004, he moved to Schenectady, New York to attend college and converted to Islam that same year. In December 2005, he was arrested for buying a computer with stolen credit card information he got while working at a Circuit City in Albany, New York. Bomb plot Pimentel's alleged targets included U.S. troops returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Najibullah Zazi
Najibullah Zazi (born August 10, 1985) is an Afghan-American who was arrested in September 2009 as part of the 2009 U.S. al Qaeda group accused of planning suicide bombings on the New York City Subway system, and who pleaded guilty as have two other defendants.
