Johnny Skalin
Hans Johnny Skalin (born April 1, 1978) is a Swedish politician who was a member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats party between 2010 and 2022. Skalin was first elected to parliament during the 2010 Swedish general election. He was initially elected to the constituency of Östergötland County but switched to represent Västernorrland County in 2014. He was the SD's temporary economic spokesman after Erik Almqvist resigned from the position following the iron pipe scandal until Sven-Olof Sällström was appointed as a full-time replacement. Skalin also unsuccessfully stood for the SD during the 2014 European Parliament election and was the third candidate on the party's ballot. In parliament, Skalin is a member of the EU Committee and a deputy in the Riksdag Foreign Affairs Committee. Västernorrland County
Västernorrland County ( sv, Västernorrlands län) is a county (''län'') in the north of Sweden. It is bordered by the counties of Gävleborg, Jämtland, Västerbotten and the Gulf of Bothnia. The name ''Västernorrland'' means "Western Norrland", as it was in the western part of the original Norrland (northern Sweden and northern Finland). 2022 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 11 September 2022 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag who in turn elected the Prime Minister of Sweden. Under the constitution, regional and municipal elections were also held on the same day. The 2014 European Parliament election was held in the European Union, from 22 to 25 May 2014. It was the 8th parliamentary election since the first direct elections in 1979, and the first in which the European political parties fielded candidates for President of the Commission. Sven-Olof Sällström
Sven-Olof Sällström (4 October 1968 – 14 March 2024) was a Swedish politician who was a member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats between 2010 and 2024. Sällström originally worked as a store manager before his political career. He was a member of the Centre Party and the Liberals before joining the Sweden Democrats in 2006. He unsuccessfully stood for the party during the 2009 European Parliament elections before he was elected to the Riksdag during the 2010 Swedish general election. In 2012, he succeeded Erik Almqvist as the Sweden Democrats' economic spokesperson after Almqvist was forced to resign as a result of the so-called iron pipe scandal.
