Johnny Paychek
John J. Pacek (June 11, 1914 – December 3, 1988), better known by the ring name Johnny Paychek, was an American boxer. Though considered a journeyman, he did face Joe Louis in 1940 for the lineal heavyweight title. Louis beat him by a second-round knockout, in what turned to be Paychek's only world championship try as a professional boxer. After retiring from the ring, Paychek married and had two children. Orthodox Stance
In combat sports such as boxing, an orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having their weaker side closer to the opponent. Because it favors the stronger, dominant side (often the right side; see laterality), the orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing and MMA. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers. In American English, a journeyman or journeywoman is an athlete who is technically competent but unable to excel. The term is used elsewhere (such as in British and Australian contexts) to refer to a professional sportsman who plays for numerous clubs during his career. Johnny Paycheck (born Donald Eugene Lytle; May 31, 1938 – February 19, 2003) was an American country music singer and Grand Ole Opry member notable for recording the David Allan Coe song "Take This Job and Shove It". He achieved his greatest success in the 1970s as a force in country music's " outlaw movement" popularized by artists Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Billy Joe Shaver, and Merle Haggard. In 1980, Paycheck appeared on the PBS music program ''Austin City Limits'' (season 5). But during that decade, his music career slowed due to drug, alcohol, and legal problems.
