Johnny Palazzio
Jean Paul Whittacker, better known by his ring name Johnny Palazzio, (born 6 March 1980) is a South African professional wrestler currently performing for Africa Wrestling Alliance. He is the current 2-time African Cruiserweight Champion and previously held the title for 4 years until he lost the title to William McQueen on 2 December 2008. Career After training at the ''AWA Wrestling Academy'', Johnny Palazzio made his professional wrestling debut for the Africa Wrestling Alliance in 2002 as ''JP'', teaming up with Viper and The Clown to take on Ultimo Wulf, Nitro and William McQueen in a losing effort. He became embroiled in a heated feud with Nitro for the rest of 2002 and 2003, then made his debut at the Parow Civic Centre, the AWA's most widely used venue, teaming up with Viper and losing to Nitro and Ultimo Wulf. Shaun Koen is a South African professional wrestler. He is the owner and promoter of the Africa Wrestling Alliance and is the promotion's current African Heavyweight Champion. Koen is a second-generation professional wrestler; his father Jackie Koen was also a competitive professional wrestler. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. Parow Civic Centre
Parow is a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa and a Northern Suburb of the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality founded by Johann Heinrich Ferdinand Parow who arrived in the locality in 1865. History During a great storm in Table Bay in 1865, 19 ships were stranded. Amongst the many schooners was the ''Kehrwieder'', the ship of Captain Johann Heinrich Ferdinand Parow. After being stranded, Captain Parow settled down in the Cape of Good Hope and married Johanna Wilhelmina Timmerman, the daughter of the family that helped Captain Parow after being stranded on the Cape coast. Parow quickly realised the potential value of the Tyger Valley area north of Cape Town and that the area held great opportunities for cattle trade. The strip, by Stephen Francis and Rico Schacherl, is syndicated in 13 publications and claims a daily readership of over 4 million people. The strip was first published in July 1992, in a black and white weekly format in ''The Weekly Mail'' (now the ''Mail & Guardian'') and in a monthly colour format in ''Living'' magazine.
