Johnny Palacios
Johnny Eulogio Palacios Suazo (; born 20 December 1986) is a Honduran footballer who plays as a defender for Olimpia. Personal life His brothers are Milton, Jerry, Wilson and Edwin René Palacios. On 30 October 2007 Edwin, aged 14, was kidnapped in La Ceiba; he was found dead one year and seven months later in Omoa. Club career A one-club man, he has only played professional football for Olimpia so far. International career Palacios made his debut for Honduras in a July 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup match against Grenada and has, as of February 2013, earned a total of 15 caps, scoring no goals. He has represented his country in 1 FIFA World Cup qualification match and played at the 2011 UNCAF Nations Cup as well as at the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Honduras National Football Team
The Honduras national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Honduras) represents Honduras in men's international football. The team is governed by the Federación Nacional Autónoma de Fútbol de Honduras (FENAFUTH). They are nicknamed ''Los Catrachos'', ''La Bicolor,'' or ''La H''. Honduras has qualified for the World Cup three times, in 1982, 2010, and 2014, and never advanced beyond the group stage. Outside of the FIFA World Cup tournament, Honduras has competed in several other international competitions, like the CONCACAF Championship (which they won in 1981), and the Copa América (which their best result was third place in 2001). The 2011 Copa Centroamericana ( en, 2011 Central American Cup) was the eleventh edition of Copa Centroamericana (formerly known as the UNCAF Nations Cup), an international football championship for national teams affiliated with the Central American Football Union (UNCAF) of the CONCACAF region. It took place in Panama from January 14 to January 23, 2011. It was the second time for Panama to host the tournament. The Copa Centroamericana (, Spanish for "Central American Cup") was the main association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ''Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol'' ( UNCAF), the sport's Central American governing body. Held every two years since 1991, in the years before and after the FIFA World Cup tournaments, it was originally called the UNCAF Nations Cup (), changing to the latter name in 2011.
