Johnny Narron
John A. Narron, Jr. (born November 13, 1951) is an American professional baseball coach. He is the hitting coach for the Lynchburg Hillcats, the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. He is a former hitting coach of the Milwaukee Brewers and former assistant hitting coach of the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was a confidant and friend of center fielder Josh Hamilton and temporarily acted as an "accountability partner" to help Hamilton in his recovery from drug addiction. The native of Goldsboro, North Carolina was a first baseman in the minor league systems of the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox in 1974 and 1975. He is the brother of former Rangers and Reds manager Jerry Narron, who served as the bench coach for the Brewers from 2011-2015. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions. Jerry Narron
Jerry Austin Narron (born January 15, 1956) is an American professional baseball manager, coach, and former player. He most recently served as a major league instructor for the Chicago White Sox. He most recently served as the bench coach for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB) during the 2020 season. Narron played in MLB, primarily as a catcher, for three teams during 1979–1987. He has served as manager for the Texas Rangers (2001–02) and the Cincinnati Reds (2005–07). He was the third base coach for Israel at the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Darnell Coles
Darnell Coles (born June 2, 1962) is an American professional baseball player and current hitting coach for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB and Nippon Professional Baseball primarily as a third baseman and outfielder from 1983 to 1997. He has coached in MLB since 2014. Early life Coles was a four-sport letterman and three time baseball MVP at Eisenhower High School. Playing career On June 3, 1980, Coles was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the first round (sixth pick) of the 1980 Major League Baseball Draft. He turned down both a baseball scholarship and a football scholarship to UCLA to sign with the Mariners. In 1986, he hit a career-high 20 home runs for the Detroit Tigers. Dale Sveum
Dale Curtis Sveum ( ; born November 23, 1963) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) player and manager. He most recently served as the bench coach for the Kansas City Royals. As a player, Sveum saw action in 12 major league seasons between 1986 and 1999. He was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Yankees.
