Johnny Melville
Johnny Melville (born 27 January 1948 in Leith, Scotland) is a clown, actor and mime who is part of the group of artists who in the 1970s revolutionized the world of the clown in Europe, alongside names like Jango Edwards and Nola Rae in the historic Friends Roadshow in Amsterdam. In recent years he has combined his work as a clown, mime and trainer with that of actor in alternative filmmaking. Career He began his professional career in 1972, working alongside names typical of the British theatre scene as David Aukin or John Bolton. Until 1977 he was actor in and director of the alternative theater company Salakta Balloon Band, and later and until 1979 by the London theater company Kaboodle Theater. Leith
Leith (; gd, Lìte) is a port area in the north of the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, founded at the mouth of the Water of Leith. In 2021, it was ranked by '' Time Out'' as one of the top five neighbourhoods to live in the world. Dieter Meier (born 4 March 1945) is a Swiss industrialist, musician and conceptual artist. He is the frontman of the electronic music group Yello, which was co-founded (with ex-member Carlos Perón) by music producer Boris Blank. Brooklyn Film Festival
The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), prior to 2011 called the Brooklyn International Film Festival (BiFF) is an independent film festival held every June in Brooklyn, New York. Started by Marco Ursino, Susan Mackell, Abe Schrager, and Mario Pegoraro in 1998, its mission is to “discover, expose, and promote independent filmmakers while drawing worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema." Its base is South 4th Street, Williamsburg. The festival is organized by the Brooklyn Film Society, a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. Michael Knighton (born 4 October 1951) is an English businessman, best known for his involvement in Manchester United and Carlisle United football clubs. Knighton first came to prominence in 1989 for his aborted £20 million bid to buy Manchester United, which resulted in him taking a seat on the club's board. Early life Knighton grew up in Derbyshire and was a footballer in his youth. His great-grandfather, Willie Layton, was part of Sheffield Wednesday's 1903 and 1904 league championship-winning teams, and also the FA Cup-winning team of 1907.
