Johnny Meads
Johnny Sand Meads (born June 25, 1961) is a former professional American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston Oilers from 1984 to 1992 and Washington Redskins in 1992. Meads was selected by the Oilers in the third round of the 1984 NFL draft, and was also a third round (56th overall) selection by the New Orleans Breakers in the 1984 USFL Draft. Meads played college football at Nicholls State University and high school football at Assumption High School in Napoleonville, Louisiana Napoleonville is a village and the parish seat of Assumption Parish, in the U.S. state of Louisiana. Linebacker (American Football)
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Napoleonville is a village and the parish seat of Assumption Parish, in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The population was 660 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pierre Part Micropolitan Statistical Area.
