Johnny Hansen (footballer Born 1943)
Johnny Terney Hansen (born 14 November 1943) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He most notably played six years as a professional for German club Bayern Munich, with whom he won multiple domestic and international titles. He played 45 matches and scored three goals for the Denmark national football team between 1965 and 1978, and won the 1967 Danish ''Player of the Year'' award. Biography Johnny Terney Hansen was born in Vejle, and started his career in local top-flight club Vejle Boldklub. He debuted for the Danish national team in September 1965, and instantly commanded a place in the national team starting line-up. Having been named Danish ''Player of the Year'' in 1967, he moved abroad to play professionally in 1968. He signed with 1. FC Nürnberg in the top-flight German Bundesliga. The 1976 Intercontinental Cup was an association football tie held over two legs in November and December 1976 between Cruzeiro, winners of the 1976 Copa Libertadores, and the winners of the 1975–76 European Cup, Bayern Munich. FC Bayern Munich, even as European champions, didn't find a compatible schedule together with South-American champions Club Atlético Independiente, to play the 1975 Intercontinental Cup. The 1970–71 DFB-Pokal was the 28th season of the annual German football cup competition. It began on 12 December 1970 and ended on 19 June 1971. 32 teams competed in the tournament of five rounds. In the final Bayern Munich defeated 1. FC Köln 2–1 after extra time. It was Bayern's fifth triumph in the cup while it was Cologne's second consecutive loss in the final. Mode The tournament consisted of five single elimination rounds. In case a game ended with a draw 30 minutes of extra time were played.
