John Campbell (footballer, Born 1870)
John Campbell (19 February 1869 – 8 June 1906) was a Scottish footballer who played as a forward, primarily for Sunderland. He was the stepbrother of Sunderland manager Robert Campbell. Club career Having won the Scottish Cup with Renton in 1888, followed by the 1888 'World Championship' a few months later, Campbell switched to English football along with teammates John Harvey and David Hannah; he made his debut for Sunderland on 18 January 1890 against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup first round; Sunderland lost the game 4–2 after extra time at Leamington Road. He played for the club from 1890 to 1897, winning three Football League championships ( 1891–92, 1892–93 and 1894–95). In each of these seasons, Campbell was the top scorer in the competition. He also won the 1894–95 World Championship with the team, scoring two goals in the win over Heart of Midlothian. John Campbell (19 August 1872 – 2 December 1947) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Celtic, Aston Villa, Third Lanark and the Scotland national team. John Campbell (footballer, Born 1877)
John William Campbell (2 October 1877 – 20 January 1919) was a Scottish footballer who played as an outside left for Linthouse, Partick Thistle, Blackburn Rovers, Rangers, West Ham United, Hibernian and the Scotland national team. Life and career Campbell was born in Glasgow and gained the most success in his career with Rangers with whom he won four successive league titles ( 1898–99, 1899–1900, 1900–01 and 1901–02) the first of which Rangers won all 18 of their Scottish league matches. He played alongside Jack Wilkie at four clubs. He also represented Scotland at international level, winning four caps and scoring six goals, including a double in Scotland's biggest ever win – an 11–0 defeat of Ireland in February 1901. He also appeared for the Scottish League XI. After his football career he became a ship's steward, but died aged just 41 from tuberculosis.

John "Johnny" Campbell (7 March 1910 – 6 July 1999) was a Scottish professional association football, footballer who scored 116 goals from 205 games in the Football League playing as a forward (association football), forward for Leicester City F.C., Leicester City and Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City. Career Campbell was born in Stevenston, Ayrshire. :''This article relates to the Irish footballer. For others, see John Campbell.'' John Peter Campbell (28 June 1923 – January 1968) was a footballer from Derry, Northern Ireland. Campbell grew up playing Gaelic football at school. He was also an accomplished sprinter, and an Ulster champion over 100 and 200 metres. He first played football for Foyle Harps, before being signed-up by Derry City, and from there he moved to Belfast Celtic in 1945. At 'Paradise', Campbell won Irish League and Irish Cup winner's medals, as well as representing the Irish League. Perhaps his most famous contribution to the club's history was scoring both goals in a 2–0 win over Scotland during Celtic's swansong tour of America. By the time of the US Tour, Campbell had already departed Belfast Celtic for Fulham. He played in 62 league games for Fulham before his career was ended by injury early in the 1952–53 season.

Jonathan Campbell (born 17 July 1987) is an English rugby league footballer who plays on the or as a for the Batley Bulldogs in the Betfred Championship. He has previously played for Batley and the Bradford Bulls in the Championship. Campbell has also spent time on loan from Bradford at the Keighley Cougars in League 1.
