Johnnie Walker (January 7, 1894 – December 5, 1949), sometimes credited as Johnny Walker, was an American actor and producer popular from the silent era to the late 1930s. He appeared in a variety of short and feature films, including the highly successful features '' Captain Fly-by-Night'', '' Over the Hill to the Poorhouse'', ''Broken Hearts of Broadway'' and '' Old Ironsides''.''Silent Film Necrology'' 2nd edition c.2001 by Eugene M. Vazzana He began his film career in 1915. Background The eldest son of William (1865–1940) and Johanna Walker (1871–1942), he was born John William Walker in New York City on January 7, 1894. ''The Scarlet West'' is a 1925 American silent historical drama film directed by John G. Adolfi and starring Robert Frazer and Clara Bow. It was distributed by the First National company. This was an ambitious silent film made by an independent producer about George Armstrong Custer and the Battle of the Little Bighorn. It was filmed on location at Dolores, Colorado. Cast Preservation There are no prints of ''The Scarlet West'' surviving, which makes it a lost film. A trailer survives at the Library of Congress.
