Johnathan Thurston
Johnathan Dean Thurston (born 25 April 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the National Rugby League (NRL). Thurston was an Australian international, Queensland State of Origin and Indigenous All Stars representative. He played as a or five-eighth and was a noted goal-kicker. Johnathan Thurston started his career at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, where he won the 2004 NRL premiership. He moved to the North Queensland Cowboys in 2005, playing in that year's grand final. In that year, he made his debut for Queensland, before making his Australian debut in 2006. He was the 2008 Wally Lewis medalist for State of Origin player of the series. Also in 2008, he was named as halfback of the Australian Aboriginal team of the century. Matthew Scott (born 30 July 1985), also known by the nickname of "Thumper", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a for the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL and Australia at international level. Scott played his entire 16-year National Rugby League career with the Cowboys, co-captaining them to the 2015 NRL Grand Final and 2016 World Club Challenge. St George Illawarra Dragons
The St. George Illawarra Dragons is an Australian professional rugby league football club, representing both the Illawarra and St George regions of New South Wales. The club has competed in the National Rugby League since 1999 after a joint-venture was formed between the St. George Dragons (est. 1921) and the Illawarra Steelers (est. 1982). They officially formed as the game's first joint-venture club on 23 September 1998 and it remains the only inter-city team in the NRL. Sam Ayoub
Sam Ayoub is an Australian rugby league manager for players such as Johnathan Thurston and Robbie Farah. He established Ultra Management (Sports) in 1988 where he is still a director. Ayoub was one of the first player managers in the Australian Rugby League and has been called "one of the game's most powerful." One of his first clients, Adrian Lam, was his former touch football teammate. In 2005, Ayoub was banned by the Australian Touch Football Association for abusing officials while he was coach of the Australian men's under-20 team. In 2011, he was caught up in an investigation into suspicious betting activity. South Queensland Crushers
The South Queensland Crushers were an Australian rugby league football club based in Brisbane, Queensland. In 1992 it was decided that the team would be admitted into the New South Wales Rugby League competition, along with three other teams, as part of the League's expansion plans for professional rugby league in Australia. The competition was re-branded the Australia Rugby League competition in 1995, which was the Crushers' first season. The Crushers, whose whole existence was against the backdrop of the Super League war, were an unsuccessful club. Gunggari People

The ''Rugby League World'' Golden Boot Award is a rugby league award handed out annually for achievements in rugby league by ''Rugby League World'' magazine.
