Johnathan Kovacevic
Johnathan Kovacevic (born July 12, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Personal life Kovacevic is the son of a Montenegrin father, Novica, and a Bosnian mother, Angie. He has a brother, Ryan, and a sister, Daniela. He holds a civil engineering degree from Merrimack. Playing career At the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Kovacevic was drafted in the third round, 74th overall by the Winnipeg Jets. After three seasons with Merrimack College, Kovacevic signed a two-year entry level contract with the Jets on March 17, 2019. He made his professional debut with the Jets' American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, on April 19, 2019, scoring one goal and one assist against the Chicago Wolves. Niagara Falls is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is on the western bank of the Niagara River in the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario, with a population of 88,071 at the 2016 census. Jeff Gorton
Jeff Gorton (born June 6, 1968) is an American ice hockey executive currently serving as Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously served six seasons as general manager of the New York Rangers. He served four seasons as assistant general manager of the Rangers before being promoted in 2015. Gorton spent three seasons with the Rangers as assistant director of Player Personnel after serving one season as a professional scout. Gorton was the interim general manager of the Boston Bruins during the 2005–06 season, replacing Mike O'Connell, who was fired on March 25, 2006. Professional Gorton began working for the Bruins in 1992. He worked in Boston as assistant general manager for seven seasons and served as the team's interim general manager from March 25, 2006, until July 15, 2006. Hawkesbury Hawks
The Hawkesbury Hawks are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). History The Hawks were formed by a group of local businessmen in March 1974. From 1974 until 1976 the Hawks were a part of the Eastern Ontario Junior B Hockey League. After making the jump to the Central Junior A Hockey League in 1976, the Hawks found themselves in the basement of the league in their first season—although they quickly rose through the ranks in the seasons following. In 1979, the team won the CJHL Championship and moved on to the Centennial Cup where they lost the semi-finals to the Ontario Hockey Association's Guelph Platers—the eventual champion. The 1980 season saw them win the Bogart Cup as CJHL Champions again. Central Canada Hockey League
The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey league operating in eastern Ontario, Canada. The league is sanctioned by the Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Canada and is a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The winner of the CCHL playoffs competes for the Fred Page Cup — the Eastern Region championship of the Canadian Junior Hockey League — with the winners of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
