John Bryn Williams (born 1977), known as John B, is an English disc jockey and electronic music producer. He is widely recognised for his eccentric clothing and wild hair and his production of several cutting edge drum and bass tracks. John B ranked number 76 in ''DJ Magazine''s 2010 Top 100 DJs annual poll, announced on 27 October 2010. Career Williams was born on 12 July 1977 in Maidenhead, Berkshire. He started producing music around the age of 14, and now is the head of drum and bass record label Beta Recordings, together with its more specialist drum and bass sub-labels Nu Electro, Tangent, and Chihuahua. John Wells (born September 28, 1772) was a merchant and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented King's County from 1806 to 1818 and the Cornwallis Township from 1820 to 1826 in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. He was the son of Judah Wells and Eleanor Simpson. John Wells (jockey)
John Wells (1833 - 1873), nicknamed Tiny Wells or Brusher Wells, was a Warwickshire-born British flat racing Champion Jockey of the Victorian era. Career Apprentice He was apprenticed to the stable of Mr Flintoff in Hednesford while in his teens. There, he earned the nickname 'Tiny' on account of his small stature, even though he eventually became one of the tallest jockeys in the weighing room. He was also known as 'Brusher', but it is not known where this nickname came from. His first victory came in 1848 in the Birmingham Stakes at the now defunct Walsall Racecourse on a horse called Ribaldry. Full professional He became the retained jockey for Sir Joseph Hawley and was therefore most often found riding for that owner's trainer, George Manning, who was based at Cannons Heath, near Kingsclere, Berkshire. John Wells (cricketer)
John Wells (5 January 1760, in Wrecclesham, Surrey – 15 February 1835, in Wrecclesham) was a famous English cricketer who played for Surrey. Career Wells was a top-class all-rounder who batted right-handed. He was a fast underarm bowler but it is not known if he bowled right or left-handed. He was a fine fielder who was good enough to keep wicket on occasion. Wells made his first-class debut in the 1787 English cricket season when he played for All-England ''versus'' White Conduit Club in one of the earliest matches at the new Lord's Cricket Ground, which had just opened that season. He played until 1815. Wells played for the Players in the second Gentlemen v Players match in 1806. Family His brother James Wells, an occasional player, also represented Surrey. John married Hannah Beldham, sister of the legendary William Beldham. The Bishop of Llandaff is the ordinary of the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff. Area of authority The diocese covers most of the County of Glamorgan. ''Morning Exercises'' refers to a religious observance by Puritans in London which started at the beginning of the English Civil War. Origins As most of the citizens of London had either a near relation or friend in the army of the Robert Devereux, 3rd Earl of Essex, Earl of Essex, clergymen were getting overwhelmed with requests to include prayers for these soldiers in their Sunday services. So a group of them agreed to set aside an hour at 7 am, every morning, with half an hour for prayer and half an hour for a broader exhortation of the population. It was started by Thomas Case the Presbyterian minister at St. Mary Magdalen, Milk Street and continued there for a month. The exercises were then taken up by other churches across the City of London. Shortly after Westminster Abbey also started to host religious lectures between 6 - 8am, not only for local residents, but also for Members of Parliament. The Archdeacon of Ludlow is a senior ecclesiastical officer within the Diocese of Hereford. Prior to 1876 the post was known by its previous title of Archdeacon of Shropshire or alternatively as the Archdeacon of Salop in the Diocese of Hereford. History Shropshire was historically split between the diocese of Hereford (under the Archdeacon of Shropshire) and the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield (under the Archdeacon of Salop). The Shropshire archdeaconry in the Hereford diocese included the deaneries of Burford, Stottesdon, Ludlow, Pontesbury, Clun Forest and Wenlock and the Salop archdeaconry in the Coventry and Lichfield diocese the deaneries of Salop and Newport. John Wells (Mormon)
John Wells (16 September 1864 – 18 April 1941) was an American member of the presiding bishopric of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1918 to 1938. Wells was born in Carlton, Nottinghamshire, England. In 1882, he became a member of the LDS Church. Wells and his wife Almena Thorpe emigrated to Utah Territory in 1889. He gained employment as a clerk in the office of the LDS Church's presiding bishop. In 1918, Presiding Bishop Charles W. Nibley asked Wells to become his second counselor. When Nibley was replaced by Sylvester Q. Cannon, Wells stayed on as the second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric of the church. Wells served as a general authority until the end of Cannon's tenure in 1938. Wells died in Salt Lake City, Utah of pyelonephritis, or pus buildup in the kidneys.
