John W. Kendall
John Wilkerson Kendall (June 26, 1834 – March 7, 1892) was an American lawyer who served for one year as a U.S. Representative from Kentucky from March 4, 1891 until his death on March 7, 1892. He was the father of Joseph Morgan Kendall. Biography Born in Morgan County, Kentucky, Kendall attended the common schools and Owingsville Academy, where he studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1854 and commenced practice in West Liberty, Kentucky. He served as prosecuting attorney of Morgan County 1854–1858. Civil War During the Civil War Kendall served as first lieutenant and adjutant of the Tenth Kentucky Confederate Cavalry. Political career He then served as a member of the State House of Representatives from 1867 to 1871. Afterwards, he became the Commonwealth attorney for the 13th judicial district from 1872 to 1878. 52nd United States Congress
The 52nd United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, consisting of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It met in Washington, D.C. from March 4, 1891, to March 4, 1893, during the final two years of Benjamin Harrison's presidency. The apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives was based on the Tenth Census of the United States in 1880. John Henry Wilson (Kentucky)
John Henry Wilson (January 30, 1846 – January 14, 1923) was a U.S. Representative from Kentucky. Born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Wilson pursued preparatory studies. He graduated from Tusculum College in June 1870. After this he studied law. Wilson was admitted to the bar in September 1871 and commenced practice in Barbourville, Kentucky. He was also greatly interested in agricultural pursuits and the construction of the Dixie Highway. He served as member of the Kentucky State Senate from 1883 to 1887. Wilson was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-first and Fifty-second Congresses (March 4, 1889 – March 3, 1893). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1892 to the Fifty-third Congress. He resumed the practice of his profession in Barbourville, Kentucky.
