John Swasey
John Allan Swasey is an American voice actor, ADR Director, and script writer known for his work at Funimation, ADV Films and Sentai Filmworks. He has provided voices for English-language versions of Japanese anime series and video games. His most notable roles include Gendo Ikari in the ''Rebuild of Evangelion'' films, Sir Crocodile in the Funimation dub of ''One Piece'', Lord Death in '' Soul Eater'', and Van Hohenheim in '' Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood''. Outside of voice acting, Swasey is also the founder of Anime Dallas, an anime convention which debuted in 2018. Dirty Pair Flash
is an anime and manga franchise based on the light novel series by Haruka Takachiho. Although it is often said that these are younger versions of the original ''Lovely Angels'' Kei and Yuri, in truth this series is an alternate universe telling of ''Dirty Pair'', set in the years 2248–49. When Sunrise originally began the project, their idea was to make a sequel to the original ''Dirty Pair'' series, but Kyōko Tongū, the original voice actress for Kei, had long retired and moved to North America, and Saeko Shimazu, the voice of Yuri, refused to work with anyone but her original partner, forcing the project to be a remake of the original series instead. Angelic Layer
is a Japanese manga series created by Clamp (manga artists), Clamp. The manga was published in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten, and in English originally by Tokyopop, but has since been re-licensed by Dark Horse Comics. It was the group's first work using a significantly pared down style, which lowered emphasis on detail and accentuated posing and gestures. It would later be repeated in series like ''Chobits'' and ''Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle''. The manga was adapted into a 26-episode anime series produced by Bones (studio), Bones titled which aired on TV Tokyo from April 1, 2001 – September 23, 2001. Steel Angel Kurumi
is a Japanese manga series created by Kaishaku. An anime series adaptation directed by Naohito Takahashi, animated by Oriental Light and Magic, produced by Pony Canyon with character designs by Yuriko Chiba and Yūji Ikeda and music by Toshihiko Sahashi has been translated and released in North America by ADV Films. In 2008, Crunchyroll announced it had partnered with Pony Canyon to release the ''Steel Angel Kurumi'' series for streaming and download. Three young girls—Akari, Yuki, and Nozomi—meet at a concert and set out to follow in the footsteps of their idol, Reika, and become music stars. is a mecha anime television series produced by Sunrise. It was directed by Ryousuke Takahashi, who also co-created the series along with Sunrise (Hajime Yatate).
