John Sambataro
Johnne "John" Sambataro (born August 27, 1953, in South Florida) is an American rock musician. In 1975, he began working as a session vocalist and musician at Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, where he worked with Andy Gibb, Barry Gibb, Stephen Stills, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Teri DeSario, Meat Loaf, John Parr, Coverdale and Page, Zakk Wylde and many others. In 1978, he toured with Dave Mason. From 1979 through 1996, he toured with McGuinn, Clark & Hillman, Firefall and Dion. In 2001, he rejoined with Dave Mason for Mason's DVD '' Live at Sunrise'', recorded at Sunrise Theater, and Samabataro has continued to tour regularly with Mason. Dave Mason
David Thomas Mason (born 10 May 1946) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist from Worcester, who first found fame with the rock band Traffic. Over the course of his career, Mason has played and recorded with many notable pop and rock musicians, including Paul McCartney, George Harrison, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Steve Winwood, Fleetwood Mac, Delaney & Bonnie, Leon Russell, and Cass Elliot. One of Mason's best known songs is "Feelin' Alright", recorded by Traffic in 1968 and later by many other performers, including Joe Cocker, whose version of the song was a hit in 1969. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. Sunrise Theater
The Sunrise Theatre (also known as the Sunrise Building) is a historic theater in Fort Pierce, Florida. It is located at 117 South 2nd Street. History Built in 1923 by builder C.E. Cahow, the Sunrise Theatre was designed in the Mediterranean Revival Style by architect John N. Sherwood. Opening day was August 1, 1923 as a vaudeville house. The theatre earned its reputation for becoming the cultural center of the city of Fort Pierce as well as being the greatest and biggest cultural institution in Florida at the time. At the time it had the largest stage between Jacksonville and Miami. It was designed for plays, movies and variety shows. In 1930 the young A.E. Backus became resident artist for the theater. Backus created displays and posters for the theatre's films and celebrity appearances. Closure & renaissance The theater closed in 1983 after it had fallen into disrepair. Firefall is an American country rock band that formed in Boulder, Colorado, in 1974. It was founded by Rick Roberts, former member of the Flying Burrito Brothers, and Jock Bartley, who had been Tommy Bolin's replacement in Zephyr. The band's biggest hit single, "You Are the Woman", peaked at No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' chart in 1976. McGuinn, Clark & Hillman
McGuinn, Clark & Hillman were an American rock supergroup consisting of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and Chris Hillman, who were all former members of the band the Byrds. The supergroup formed in 1977 and was partly modeled after Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and, to a lesser extent, the Eagles. They were reasonably successful commercially in the United States, with their debut album reaching number 39 on the ''Billboard'' Top LPs & Tapes chart and the single "Don't You Write Her Off" reaching number 33 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100.
