John Bert Rogers (January 18, 1910 – October 1, 1968) was an American football player. Rogers was born in Alexis, Illinois, in 1907 and attended Alexis High School. Alexis is a village in Mercer and Warren counties in Illinois, United States. The population was 831 at the 2010 census. The Warren County portion of Alexis is part of the Galesburg Micropolitan Statistical Area, while the Mercer County portion is part of the Davenport– Moline– Rock Island, IA-IL Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Alexis was originally called Alexandria or Alexandria Station, and under the latter names was laid out in 1870 when the railroad was extended to that point. After learning of another Illinois town named Alexander, the founders wanted a new name. Around this time, Grand Duke Alexis was visiting the country, after whom the town was renamed. Cincinnati Reds (NFL)
The Cincinnati Reds were a National Football League team that played the 1933 season and the first eight games of the 1934 season. The football Reds played most of their home games at Crosley Field. Other home games were played at Dayton's Triangle Park, Portsmouth's Universal Stadium and Xavier University's Corcoran Stadium in a rare night game against the Chicago Cardinals. The team was eventually suspended for failure to pay league dues during the 1934 season and the St. Louis Gunners, an independent team, replaced the Reds on the schedule for the last three games. The Reds hold the dubious distinction of having the two lowest officially recognized season scoring totals in NFL history. The 1930 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team was an American football team that represented the University of Notre Dame as an independent during the 1930 college football season. In their 13th and final season under head coach Knute Rockne, the Fighting Irish compiled a perfect 10–0 record and outscored their opponents by a total of 256 to 74 with three shutouts. There was no AP poll in 1930.
