John Rayson
John C. Rayson (born March 29, 1949, in Oak Park, Illinois) is a Broward County, Florida attorney. He served as the mayor of Pompano Beach, Florida from 2004 to 2007. Prior to becoming mayor, Rayson served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1990 to 2000. He unsuccessfully sought election as a Broward County, Florida circuit judge. On July 26, 2007, he was selected as Davie, Florida's town attorney. Rayson was born in Oak Park, Illinois. His father Leland Rayson served in the Illinois House of Representatives. Rayson received his bachelor's degree from University of Rochester in 1971 and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1974. Pompano Beach ( ) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is located along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, just north of Fort Lauderdale. The nearby Hillsboro Inlet forms part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 112,046. Leland Rayson
Leland Homer Rayson (August 23, 1921 – January 8, 2001) was an American lawyer and politician. Rayson was born in Oak Park, Illinois. He received his bachelor's degree from University of Rochester and his law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Rayson served in the United States Navy during World War II. Rayson was admitted to the Illinois bar. He was also involved in the real estate business and was the editor of the North-Worth Reporter. Rayson lived in Tinley Park, Illinois with his wife and family. He served on the local school. Rayson served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1965 to 1977 and was a Democrat.
