John Nnia Nwodo
Chief John Nnia Nwodo is a Nigerian lawyer, economist, and minister. He serves as 9th President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Early life and education Nwodo, the third-born male child of his family, was born in 1952 in Enugu State, Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary school education in Enugu State. In 1971, he gained admission to the University of Ibadan. He attended the London School of Economics and returned to Nigeria in 1988. Career During the second republic, under the government and administration of Shehu Shagari, Nwodo served as Minister of Civil Aviation. Under the government of Abdulsalami Abubakar, Nwodo served as Minister of Information and Culture. In 2017, Nwodo won an election that decided the 9th President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a socio-cultural organization that represents every Igbo speaking community, and protects the rights and interests of the Igbo people around the world. Ohanaeze Ndigbo
Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an Igbo socio-cultural organization in Nigeria. The group aims to represent the interests of all Igbo communities within and outside Nigeria. Although the group is not a political party, one of its main objectives is to foster unity among its members in order to more effectively represent the political interests of Igbos in Nigeria. History The Igbo State Union, the precursor to the Ohanaeze Igbo, was founded in 1934 by Igbo elites and intellectuals to advance the interests of Igbos in what was then the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria ruled by the British Empire. After the 1966 anti-Igbo pogrom and the Nigerian Civil War, hundreds of prominent Igbos convened to unify Igbos under a new umbrella organization, the Igbo National Assembly (INA). Igbo People

Anambra
Anambra State is a Nigerian state, located in the southeastern region of the country. The state was created on August 27, 1991. Anambra state is bounded by Delta State to the west, Imo State to the south, Enugu State to the east and Kogi State to the north. Igbo Language
Igbo ( , ; Igbo: ''Ásụ̀sụ́ Ìgbò'' ) is the principal native language cluster of the Igbo people, a meta-ethnicity from Southeastern Nigeria. The number of Igboid languages depends on how one classifies a language versus a dialect, so there could be around 15 different Igboid languages. The core Igbo cluster or Igbo proper is generally thought to be one language but there is limited mutual intelligibility between the different groupings (north, west, south and east). A standard literary language termed 'Igbo izugbe' (meaning "general igbo") was generically developed and later adopted around 1972, with its core foundation based on the Owerri (Isuama), Anambra (Awka) and Umuahia (Ohuhu) dialects, omitting the nasalization and aspiration of those varieties. Enugu State
Enugu State ( ig, Ȯra Enugu) is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered to the north by the states of Benue and Kogi, Ebonyi State to the east and southeast, Abia State to the south, and Anambra State to the west. Abdulsalami Abubakar
Abdulsalami Abubakar (; born 13 June 1942) is a Nigerian statesman and retired Nigerian Army general who served as the ''de facto'' President of Nigeria from 1998 to 1999. He was also Chief of Defence Staff between 1997 and 1998. He succeeded General Sani Abacha upon his death. During his leadership, Nigeria adopted a modified version of the 1979 constitution, which provided for multiparty elections. He transferred power to president-elect Olusegun Obasanjo on 29 May 1999.
