John Nitzinger
John Nitzinger (born 1948) is an American blues rock guitarist, recording artist and songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas. Career In the mid-1960s, Nitzinger began his career as a performer on Bruce Channel's hit single "Hey! Baby", and became something of a local star with his band "The Barons", releasing several singles before breaking up. In 1968, Nitzinger recorded two singles, "Plastic Window" and "Life of John Doe", which were produced by T Bone Burnett. In the early 1970s, Nitzinger helped pen songs on five albums for the Fort Worth band Bloodrock. When Bloodrock 2 went Gold, Nitzinger signed a contract with Capitol Records and his first album, the self-titled ''Nitzinger'', was released in early 1972. In 1973, his second Capitol album ''One Foot in History'' was issued. (Both albums had the same cover, with the first being black and the second being blue). ''Zipper Catches Skin'' is the seventh solo studio album by American rock singer Alice Cooper, released on August 25, 1982 by Warner Bros. Records. Album background The album was co-produced by bassist Erik Scott alongside Cooper. Cooper blended new wave and pop rock music into his hard rock style in an attempt to keep up with changing musical trends. Scott stated the album "was meant to be lean, stripped down, and low on frills. Punkish and bratty." At the time, Cooper described ''Zipper Catches Skin'' as "totally kill. Real hardcore. The stuff that I do has always been a lot like that. In fact, I invented a couple of songs that were remakes of other songs, just for the purpose of attacking clichés. King Records was an American label founded in 1943 by Syd Nathan in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The label owned several divisions, including Federal Records, which launched the career of James Brown. It released original material until 1975. History Initially King specialized in country music, at the time known as hillbilly music. King advertised, "If it's a King, It's a Hillbilly – If it's a Hillbilly, it's a King." One of the label's hits was "I'm Using My Bible for a Road Map" by Reno and Smiley. Important recordings in this field were done by the Delmore Brothers and Wayne Raney. Dave Evans (singer)
Dave Evans is an Australian singer. He was the original lead singer for the Australian hard rock band AC/DC in 1973–1974 and sang on their debut single shortly before being replaced by Bon Scott. Evans then went on to join the band Rabbit who were active into the early 1980s. He resumed a solo career shortly after the year 2000. Early life Evans was born in the Welsh town of Carmarthen, and his family moved to Australia when he was five years old. They settled in the Queensland city of Townsville, and later moved to Charters Towers, where he formed his first band at the age of seventeen. He later moved to Sydney.
