John Muldoon (rugby Player Born 1982)
John Muldoon (born 30 November 1982) is an Irish rugby union coach and former player. He is currently the forwards coach for the Bristol Bears. During his playing career, Muldoon played in the back row, primarily as a number 8 but also at blindside flanker. He spent his entire professional career with Irish provincial team Connacht and represented at test level. Muldoon holds the record for appearances for Connacht, is also the most-capped player in the Pro14. Before becoming a professional rugby player, Muldoon played hurling with Portumna. He won an inter-county All-Ireland minor medal in 2000 playing for Galway against Cork. Early life Muldoon was born in Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe and grew up in Portumna in east County Galway. He attended Gortanumera National School in Ballyshrule. The 2011–12 Heineken Cup was the 17th season of the Heineken Cup, the annual rugby union European club competition for clubs from the top six nations in European rugby. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition. Fergal Moore
Fergal Moore (born 7 July 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Galway senior team. A brother of former Galway hurler Cathal, Moore made his first appearance for the team during the 2004 National League and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over a few seasons. Since then he has won one Leinster winners' medal and one National League winners' medal. At club level Moore plays with Turloughmore. Ger Farragher (born 10 June 1983) is an Irish sportsman. He played in the forward line on the Galway senior hurling team. He plays his club hurling with Castlegar. Farragher was born in Galway in 1983 and has had much success in the game of hurling. At inter-county level he has won 2 back-to-back minor All-Ireland medals in 1999 and 2000. Damien Hayes (born 18 February 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a corner-forward at senior level for the Galway county team from 2001 to 2015. Hayes was born in Portumna, County Galway in 1982. He was educated locally and later studied at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) where he won the Ryan Cup. Ballinasloe
Ballinasloe ( ; ) is a town in the easternmost part of County Galway in Connacht. Located at an ancient crossing point on the River Suck, evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes a number of Bronze Age sites. Built around a 12th-century castle, which defended the fording point, the modern town of Ballinasloe was "founded" in the early 13th century. Portiuncula University Hospital ( ga, Ospidéal Ollscoile Phortiuncula) is a public hospital located in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland. It is managed by Saolta University Health Care Group.
