John Moore (broadcaster)
John Sanford Moore (born June 5, 1966), better known as John Moore, is a Canadian radio and television broadcaster, film critic, voice actor and comedian. He works for the CFRB 1010 radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Biography Early life Moore was born in Montreal, Quebec, and grew up in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, a predominantly English-speaking area of Montreal. He attended West Hill High School, where he served as student body president. Moore began his post-secondary studies at Vanier College. While attending university he taught pre-school and worked in corporate public relations. He graduated with dual degrees in Communications at Concordia University, and from the School of Community and Public Affairs. Christie Blatchford
Christie Marie Blatchford (May 20, 1951 – February 12, 2020) was a Canadian newspaper columnist, journalist and broadcaster. She published four non-fiction books. Blatchford was Canada's first female sports columnist, reporting on sports between 1975 and 1977. In her 48-year career she worked for all four Toronto-based newspapers, winning the 1999 National Newspaper Award for column writing. She was inducted into the Canadian News Hall of Fame in 2019. Her book ''Fifteen Days: Stories of Bravery, Friendship, Life and Death from Inside the New Canadian Army'' also won the 2008 Governor General's Literary Award in Non-fiction. Ripley's Believe It Or Not (TV Series)
''Ripley's Believe It or Not!'' is the name of several documentary television series based on the newspaper feature. The first series aired on NBC from 1949 to 1950, and was hosted by Robert L. Ripley until his death, after which several substitute hosts filled in. The series was revived again on ABC, running from 1982-1986, and was hosted primarily by Jack Palance. Another revival debuted on TBS in 2000, and aired until 2003, with Dean Cain as the host. A Filipino version, hosted by Chris Tiu, debuted in 2008. An animated series based on the ''Ripley's'' franchise was also created, and premiered in 1999. Another revival premiered on Travel Channel in June 2019, with Bruce Campbell as the host. Fox Sports World Canada was a Canadian subscription television channel. The channel's programming primarily featured soccer and covered other world sports such as rugby. The Global Television Network (more commonly called Global, or occasionally Global TV) is a Canadian English-language terrestrial television network. It is currently Canada's second most-watched private terrestrial television network after CTV, and has fifteen owned-and-operated stations throughout the country.
