John Lewis Christmas Advert
The John Lewis Christmas advert is an ongoing television advertising campaign released by British department store chain John Lewis & Partners in the build-up to Christmas. John Lewis & Partners launched their first Christmas advert in 2007. It has since become something of an annual tradition in the UK, and one of the signals that the countdown to Christmas has begun. The adverts tend to attract widespread media coverage and acclaim upon their release. Between 2019 and 2020, the advert has promoted both ''John Lewis & Partners'' and ''Waitrose & Partners''. The songs used in the advertising campaigns are frequently covers (excluding 2018 and 2020) of existing songs by different artists. They have often reached high positions on the UK Singles Chart, and the original versions often receive a sales boost. John Lewis & Partners (formerly and commonly known as John Lewis) is a brand of high-end department stores operating throughout United Kingdom, the UK, with concessions also located in the Republic of Ireland and Australia. The brand sells general merchandise as part of the Worker cooperative, employee-owned mutual organisation known as the John Lewis Partnership, the largest co-operative in the United Kingdom. Vaults (band)
Vaults was a British electronica band from London, United Kingdom, composed of Blythe Pepino, Barney Freeman, and Ben Vella. The band split in 2017. History The band was founded in 2013, after Pepino was recruited to provide vocals on Freeman and Vella's musical project. Their first track as a group, "Cry No More", was posted to SoundCloud independently in 2013; it gathered 100,000 plays within its first week. Their debut single, "Premonitions", was released in 2014 by independent record label National Anthem. They released their first EP, ''Vultures'', later in the same year. Timothy Noble (born 1966) and Susan Webster (born 1967), are British artists who work as a collaborative duo. They are associated with the post-YBA generation of artists.
