John Kelly (footballer, Born 1913)
John Kelly (1913 – after 1936) was an English professional footballer who played as a centre forward or inside forward. Career Kelly was born in 1913 in Sandbach, Cheshire.Joyce, p. 146 He was on the books of Accrington Stanley before making his Football League debut for Leeds United during the 1934–35 season. He was known as Mick Kelly while at Leeds, to distinguish him from clubmate Jack Kelly. He left Leeds on 23 October 1935, and after a brief spell with Barnsley, during which he played three Second Division matches, he signed for Bradford City on 21 November, which meant he was registered with three clubs within a month. During his time with Bradford City he made five appearances in the Football League, and left in 1936 for Bedford Town. Sandbach (pronounced ) is the name of a historic market town and a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, Cheshire, England. Dominic Kelly (23 June 1917 – 20 October 1982) was an English professional footballer who played as a centre half. His career was shortened by WW2. He was later a police officer and cricketer before being convicted of theft, embezzlement and manslaughter. Jack Kelly (English Footballer)
John Kelly (2 March 1913 – 2000) was an English professional footballer who scored 32 goals from 109 appearances in the Football League playing for Burnley, Newcastle United, Leeds United, Birmingham and Bury. Career Kelly was born in Hetton-le-Hole, County Durham. He played for his local junior side before joining Burnley, initially as an amateur, in October 1930. He made his debut in the Football League for Burnley, and joined Newcastle United as part of a player exchange deal in April 1933. He rarely appeared for Newcastle's first team, and moved on to Leeds United in February 1935 for a fee of £1,150. He was first choice at centre forward in the 1935–36 season, scoring 15 goals in 34 games in the First Division, but lost out the following season to Arthur Hydes.
