John J. O'Connor (historian)
John Joseph O'Connor (November 9, 1904 – June 5, 1978) was an American historian, sociologist, author, and educator who specialized in social justice and improving interfaith dialogue, relations between different racial and religious groups. Early life O'Connor was born in Washington, D.C. to John D. O'Connor and Mary Roche O'Connor. He attended Georgetown University and received an A.B. (1926), A.M. (1927), LL.B. A historian is a person who studies and writes about the past and is regarded as an authority on it.
