John J. Garstka
John Joseph Garstka (born February 20, 1961) is the acting CISO for acquisition and sustainment at the Department of Defense Biography Garstka is a recognized international speaker and has delivered the Network Centric Warfare message to military and commercial audiences worldwide. In addition, he has lectured at Harvard University, Georgetown University, the University of California at Irvine, University of Maryland, the Army War College, the Air War College, the Naval War College, and the Naval Postgraduate School. Prior to joining the Office of Force Transformation, Garstka was the Chief Technology Officer in the Joint Staff Directorate for Command, Control, Computer and Communications (C4) Systems. A chief information security officer (CISO) is a senior-level executive within an organization responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. The CISO directs staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes across the enterprise to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks. They respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, manage security technologies, and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures. Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets (WESM) is a magnet high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District, West Region. It is located in Westchester (Los Angeles), a neighborhood adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport and bordered by Playa Vista to the north, Inglewood to the east, El Segundo to the south, and Playa del Rey to the west. Until the 201011 school year, the school was a comprehensive high school known as Westchester High School. History Westchester High School opened to 500 students in September 1948 at what is now Orville Wright Middle School.
