John Hodnett
John Hodnett (born 10 January 1999) is an Irish rugby union player who plays as a Flanker (rugby union), flanker for United Rugby Championship club Munster Rugby, Munster. Early life and education Born in Rosscarbery, County Cork, Hodnett attended Mount Saint Michael's and first began playing rugby with Clonakilty R.F.C., Clonakilty, only committing to the sport when selected for the Munster under-18s club's team, having previously also played Gaelic games. Hodnett is studying PE teaching and maths at University College Cork and spent time on a teaching placement at Limerick school St Munchin's College. Munster Hodnett was selected to represent Munster Rugby#Munster A, Munster A during the 2018–19 Celtic Cup, featuring in four of the provinces fixtures. Rosscarbery
Rosscarbery () is a village and census town in County Cork, Ireland. The village is on a shallow estuary, which opens onto Rosscarbery Bay. Rosscarbery is in the Cork South-West (Dáil Éireann) constituency, which has three seats. History The area has been occupied since at least the Neolithic period, as evidenced by several Neolithic sites such as portal dolmens. The area is also home to a number of Bronze Age remains, including a number of stone circles and ring forts. There are two inscribed stones in Burgatia, and several (later) holy wells nearby. 2018–19 Celtic Cup
The 2018 Celtic Cup is the inaugural edition of the Celtic Cup rugby union competition, which features development regional and provincial teams from Ireland and Wales. 2021–22 European Rugby Champions Cup Pool Stage
The 2021–22 European Rugby Champions Cup pool stage was the first stage of the 27th season of European club rugby union, and the eighth under the European Rugby Champions Cup format. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic delaying the end of the 2019–20 tournament, twenty-four clubs from the three major European domestic and regional leagues competed in the Champions Cup on a one-year exceptional basis. Several round 2 matches between teams from France and the UK were postponed. This was due to new travel restrictions between the UK and France introduced by the French government on 18 December 2021. Wasps RFC
Wasps Rugby Football Club is a professional rugby union team. They last played in Premiership Rugby, the top division of English rugby until being suspended on 12 October 2022. On 17 October 2022 the club entered administration, resulting in relegation to the RFU Championship, and all staff being made redundant. They exited administration on 16 December 2022. Founded in 1867 as Wasps FC, Wasps Football Club, from 1923 to 1996 they were based at Repton Avenue in Sudbury, London. The 2021–22 United Rugby Championship was the twenty-first season of the professional rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League. The All-Ireland League (AIL), known for sponsorship reasons as the Energia All-Ireland League, is the national league system for the 50 senior rugby union clubs in Ireland, covering both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Musgrave Park, Cork
Musgrave Park is a rugby football stadium in the city of Cork (city), Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The ground is situated on Pearse Road in Ballyphehane. The ground is named after Jimmy Musgrave, a past-president of the Irish Rugby Football Union. Owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), it is primarily used by Dolphin RFC, Sundays Well RFC, and Munster Rugby.
