John Francis Hayden (October 21, 1880 – August 3, 1942) was a utility player, reserve outfielder in Major League Baseball who played between the 1901 in baseball, 1901 and 1908 in baseball, 1908 seasons for the Philadelphia Athletics (1901), Boston Americans (1906) and Chicago Cubs (1908). A native of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, he attended college at Villanova University. Jack Hayden (politician)
John Ralph "Jack" Hayden (born c. 1950) is a Canadian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, who represented the constituency of Drumheller-Stettler as a Progressive Conservative from 2007 to 2012. Political career Hayden was elected to his second term representing the constituents of Drumheller-Stettler with 69 per cent of the vote in the 2008 provincial election. He was appointed as Minister of Infrastructure after the election by Premier Ed Stelmach. Hayden was first elected in a 2007 by-election, winning 58 per cent of the vote, to fill a spot left vacant when Shirley McClellan, a 20-year veteran of the Legislature, resigned. In 2006, he was rural campaign chair for Premier Ed Stelmach's leadership bid. Before entering provincial politics, Hayden was involved in municipal government. John Hayden (born February 14, 1995) is an American professional ice hockey center who is currently playing for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). Early life Hayden was born in Chicago, Illinois but immediately moved to Denver, Colorado before settling in Greenwich, Connecticut with his family when he was eight years old. As a youth, he played in the 2007 and 2008 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with the New Hampshire Nike Bauer minor ice hockey team, and then with the Detroit Honeybaked team. John Hayden (b. 1863 - d. Feb 26, 1934) was a United States Navy sailor and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor. Biography Born in 1863 in Washington, D.C., Hayden joined the Navy from that city. By July 15, 1879, he was serving as an apprentice on the training ship . On that day, while ''Saratoga'' was anchored off Battery Park in New York Harbor, Apprentice Robert Lee Robey fell overboard and was swept away by a strong tidal current. Without hesitation, Apprentice David M. Buchanan jumped into the water and went to Robey, who was not a strong swimmer. Hayden witnessed the event and, when it seemed that Buchanan needed assistance, he too jumped overboard and helped keep Robey afloat until all three men were picked up by the ship's boat. John Louis Hayden
John Louis Hayden (November 2, 1866 – February 22, 1936) was a United States Army officer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He served in several conflicts, including World War I. Biography Hayden was born in Chicago in 1866. His father was an American Civil War veteran who served in the 19th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. Hayden graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1888. Hayden was commissioned into the First Artillery, and he served at various locations, including at the Presidio of San Francisco, Fort Canby, Fort Columbus, and Fort Riley. From the latter location, Hayden was detached to serve in the Ghost Dance War in command of the Hotchkiss revolving cannon. He participated in the Battle of Wounded Knee and the Drexel Mission Fight, and because of his actions in the latter battle, Major Guy Vernor Henry recommended him for brevet promotion, something that General Nelson A. The 2006 NASCAR Busch Series opened on February 18, 2006, at Daytona International Speedway, and concluded on November 18, 2006, at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kevin Harvick, driving for his own team, Kevin Harvick, Inc., as well as for Richard Childress Racing, was declared champion. This was the Final Season that Fox Sports/ FX, TNT, and NBC covered the Busch Series. Starting in 2007, as part of a new TV contract with the television networks of The Walt Disney Company, ESPN2 televised the entire Busch season with select races on ABC. Invasion of the "Busch Whackers" There has been some controversy of the use of NEXTEL Cup teams with their drivers in Busch Series races, most notably at NEXTEL Cup tracks where there are Busch Series support races. John Michael Hayden
John Michael Hayden (born April 27, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky) is a former American soccer player and current head coach of the men's team of the University of Louisville. Playing career Youth and college Hayden attended Trinity High School in Louisville, where he played on the school soccer team. He was a two-time Parade Magazine All-American and was the 2000–01 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year. Hayden played college soccer at Indiana University. After redshirting his freshman season, Hayden began to see regular time with the Hoosiers in 2003. He helped Indiana win back-to-back NCAA titles in 2003 and 2004 as well as Big Ten Conference Tournament titles in 2003 and 2006. John Patrick Hayden
John Patrick Hayden (25 April 1863 – 3 July 1954) was an Irish nationalist politician. As a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party, he served in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1897 to 1918 as Member of Parliament (MP) for South Roscommon. He was also editor and proprietor of the '' Westmeath Examiner'', published in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, and a member of the Irish Board of Agriculture. He was imprisoned four times by the British administration under different Coercion Acts. He was the seventh son of Luke and Mary Hayden of County Roscommon, and was educated at St Comans, Roscommon. John Donald Hayden (born 1940) is a British retired Anglican bishop. He served in Tanzania as Assistant Bishop of Mount Kilimanjaro and is now an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Chester. Hayden received a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) degree from the University of London in 1962 and left ministerial training at Tyndale Hall, Bristol in 1963. He was then ordained a deacon at Michaelmas (26 September) 1965 and a priest the next Michaelmas (25 September 1966), both times by Gerald Ellison, Bishop of Chester, at Chester Cathedral.
