John Griesemer
John Griesemer (born 5 December 1947 in Elizabeth, New Jersey) is an American author, journalist, and actor. He lives with his wife Faith Catlin and two children in New Hampshire. He is best known for his novel ''Signal and Noise''. Life John Griesemer graduated from the Peddie School in New Jersey and Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. He first worked as a journalist for local newspapers. While working for a newspaper in Lebanon, New Hampshire, he wrote an article about a local theatre company. The director persuaded him to work for that local theatre company. He did so for two years, playing everything from Romeo in ''Romeo and Juliet'' to children's theater. This way he came to the theater and the movies. After moving to New York City in 1977 he studied acting with Robert Lewis. Lexington Conservatory Theatre
The Lexington Conservatory Theatre was a summer stock company in the Catskills town of Lexington, New York. Co-founded in 1976 by Oakley Hall III, Michael Van Landingham, and Bruce Bouchard, the theatre operated for five seasons at the historic Lexington House, a former hotel turned artist retreat. Hall was seriously injured in a fall from a bridge during the summer of 1978. That summer and Hall's life in the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury were the subjects of the documentary ''The Loss of Nameless Things''. Formation Oakley Hall III, Michael van Landingham, Thomas Culp and Bruce Bouchard had attended college at UC Irvine together, and continued to work together at South Coast Repertory Theatre. Elizabeth Diggs is an American playwright. She is a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre. Early life and education Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1939 to attorney James B. Diggs and Virginia Francis Diggs, Diggs attended Brown University, where she first became involved with theatre. In 1960 she co-wrote ''Happily Never After'', the annual Brownbrokers musical, with future partner Emily Arnold McCully.She graduated in 1961. Robert Lewis (March 16, 1909 – November 23, 1997) was an American actor, director, teacher, author and founder of the influential Actors Studio in New York in 1947. In addition to his accomplishments on Broadway and in Hollywood, Lewis' greatest and longest lasting contribution to American theater may be the role he played as one of the foremost acting and directing teachers of his day.
