John Gibson (footballer, Born 1989)
John Mark Gibson (born 31 January 1989) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Petershill in the SJFA West Region Premiership. Gibson has previously played for Dundee United., Dundee, Alloa Athletic and Clyde, whilst also having been on loan to a number of clubs, including three separate spells with Elgin City. He formerly represented the Scotland under-19 team. Club career Dundee United Gibson began his career as a youth player for Dundee United before he signed a one-year contract with the club in March 2007. The following year, in May 2008, Gibson signed another one-year contract with the club. Shortly signing a new contract with Dundee United, he was loaned out to Forfar Athletic to gain first team experience. After four months at the club, his loan spell with Forfar Athletic was extended until the end of the season. The 2008–09 Scottish Football League Third Division (also known as the 2008–09 Irn-Bru Scottish Football League Third Division for sponsorship reasons) was the 14th season in the format of ten teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football. Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021. Founded in 1886, the SJFA is responsible for disciplinary matters within the grade, certain player registration procedures and organising the annual Scottish Junior Cup. Arbroath () or Aberbrothock ( gd, Obar Bhrothaig ) is a former royal burgh and the largest town in the council area of Angus, Scotland, with a population of 23,902.
