John Garcia (born in Arizona in 1981) is a dog trainer, star of National Geographic Channel's four-season ''DogTown'' series, and holder of a Guinness World Record. Biography Garcia began his career in animal welfare at age 18 when he began working as a caregiver at Best Friends Animal Society based in Kanab, Utah, the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the U.S., located not far from where Garcia grew up in Fredonia, Arizona. He told ''Experience Life Magazine'' that the reason he went to work for Best Friends after high school and not onto college was to give back to animals because his best friend growing up was a dog. In August 2005, he made news when he set a record, making the ''Guinness Book of World Records'' for walking 22 dogs at one time for one mile. John Garcia (born September 4, 1970) is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist and founding member of stoner rock bands Kyuss, Slo Burn, Unida and Hermano. Garcia also performed in Vista Chino, formerly Kyuss Lives!, with former Kyuss members Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri. Garcia has since decided to pursue his solo career, having formed his band, John Garcia and the Band of Gold, in 2019. Musical career Kyuss In 1989, while still in high school, Garcia formed Kyuss (originally known as ''Katzenjammer'' and ''Sons of Kyuss'') with Brant Bjork, Chris Cockrell, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri. Johnny García Lopez (born 19 July 1978) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a defender. Lionel Fogarty (born 1958), also published as Lionel Lacey, is an Indigenous Australian poet and political activist. Early life Fogarty was born in 1958 on an Aboriginal reserve at Barambah (now called Cherbourg) in Queensland, where he grew up. He is of the Yoogum (Yugambeh) and Kudjela (?) peoples. John Garcia (June 12, 1917 – October 12, 2012) was an American psychologist, most known for his research on taste aversion. Garcia studied at the University of California-Berkeley, where he received his A.B., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in 1955 in his late forties. At his death, he was professor emeritus at University of California, Los Angeles. Jonathan Garcia (born December 14, 1986) is an American speed skater. Garcia began his skating career as inline speed skater, winning his first national title in 2004. He represented the United States three times in the World Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2006. In 2007, he represented the United States at the Pan American Games before transitioning to short track speed skating on the ice. In 2010, Garcia made the short track World Cup team, won a national title. He finished 14th at the 2010 Olympic Trials. Garcia won a second national title in 2011 before transitioning to long track speed skating. He made the World Cup team in 2012 and the World Championships in 2013.
