John Daly (American Media Personality)
John Daly is an American media personality. Journalism A graduate of Providence College, Daly worked for the '' Norwich Bulletin'', WCTI-TV in New Bern, North Carolina, WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island, and WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut before becoming the main anchor, then newsroom managing editor for KTNV-13 in Las Vegas in 1990. From 1996 until 2000, Daly hosted '' Real TV'', a nationally syndicated program. He also was the host of '' House Detective'' on the HGTV cable network and of a web based show for entrepreneurs called ''Real Money Show'' which also appeared on TV4U.Com and KSHOTV.Com. In 2011, Daly joined New England Cable News as the network's primetime co-anchor. In 2017, Daly was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The World Series of Golf was an annual golf competition. The competition differed from traditional golf tournaments in that the winner is decided not by the lowest stroke-play score or by winning a bracket-style elimination in match play, but by winning wagers bet on each hole in a betting style similar to poker. The first event was held May 13–16, 2007, and was televised by NBC June 23–24, 2007. The second event was played May 12–15, 2008, and was televised by CBS on June 28–29. ''House Detective'' is a television program on HGTV from 2008-2012, based on an original concept proposed by nationally syndicated home inspection columnist Barry Stone. In its original format, the program featured two home inspections per half-hour installment. The inspections typically took place in a particular greater metropolitan area, such as Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA, or far Upstate NY.
