John Connolly (born 1 February 1977) is an Irish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper, for Dromara Village. After playing as a schoolboy for Cherry Orchard Connolly signed for Bohemians in summer 1990 as cover for Dermot O'Neill.Bohemian FC match programme, Vol. 42, no. 3 When O'Neill left for Derry City, John became first choice and was in goal when Bohs won the FAI Cup in 1992. The 1991 FIFA World Youth Championship was the eighth staging of the FIFA World Youth Championship, an international football competition organized by FIFA for men's youth national teams, and the eighth since it was established in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Tournament.
