John Christian Elden
John Christian Elden (born 2 July 1967) is a Norwegian lawyer and politician for the Conservative Party. Both his father, John Elden, and his great-uncle, O.C. Gundersen, were lawyers. Elden has been a defender in a number of high-profile criminal cases. Politics Elden was chairman of Ullern Unge Høyre in 1981, chair of the Oslo Gymnasium Committee, chairman of the Norwegian Student Societyin 1987 and chair of the Student Council in Oslo in 1990. He was a member of oslo city council for the Conservative Party from 1988 to 1991. From 2007 to 2010 he was a member of the Vestre Aker district committee. From 2011 to 2013 he was a councillor in the City of Oslo. From 2013 to 2017 he was the Conservative Party's sixth deputy representative to the Storting from Oslo and met two days in the autumn of 2015. Erling Havnå
Erling Mathias Havnå (born 2 November 1957) of Arendal, Norway, is a former kickboxer and convicted criminal. In 2005, Erling Havnå was charged and prosecuted for participating in the NOKAS armed robbery of 2004, together with David Toska and twelve other men. On 10 March 2006 the Stavanger court of law sentenced Havnå to 17 years of imprisonment for this felony. This was later reduced to 14 years. One police officer was shot and killed in the robbery. Havnå won a silver medal in full-contact at the W.A.K.O. European Championships 1979 and stepped up to be the European Champion in 1980. Eleven years later, in 1991, he won the silver medal in the World Championship. With his fifth degree black belt, acquired in 2003, Erling Havnå is the highest ranked Norwegian kickboxer of all time. 2022 Oslo Shooting
On 25 June 2022, two people were killed and twenty-one people were wounded in a mass shooting in Oslo, Norway. Police are treating the incident as an "act of Islamist terrorism". The target may have been the Oslo LGBTQ pride event, which was hosted by the local branch of the Norwegian Organisation for Sexual and Gender Diversity. Police arrested Zaniar Matapour, a Norwegian citizen from Sanandaj, Iran, who lived in Norway since 1991. They later confirmed that they had known of Matapour since 2015, saying that he had been radicalized into Islamic extremism. They also said he had a "history of violence and threats", as well as mental health issues. He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and terrorism.
