John Chisholm (archbishop Of Melanesia)
John Wallace Chisholm, (14 September 192324 May 1975) was an Australian divine who served as the tenth Anglican Bishop of Melanesia and first Archbishop of the Province of Melanesia. He was educated at Trinity College, University of Melbourne and ordained in 1947. His first post was as a Curate at St Stephen's Church, Rochester Row, Westminster after which he was Sub-Dean of Ss Peter and Paul Cathedral, Dogura, Territory of Papua and New Guinea. From his consecration as a bishop on 24 February 1964 until 1967 he was an Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of New Guinea when he became Bishop of Melanesia, a post he held until 26 January 1975 when the Diocese of Melanesia became a province and he automatically became Archbishop of Melanesia (and Primate Primates are a diverse order of mammals. John Chisholm (doctor)
John William Chisholm is a British medical doctor who works as a general practitioner (GP). Chisholm was chairman of the British Medical Association's General Practitioners' Committee (GPC) between 1997 and 2007. Early life Chisholm was educated at Clifton College, Bristol. He studied at Peterhouse College at the University of Cambridge, and Westminster Hospital Medical School. Career Chisholm is a GP in Twyford, Berkshire. He became a member of the GP committee of the BMA in 1977, then was elected joint deputy chair in 1991 which he held until being elected chair in 1997. He is a member of BMA’s council. He is a vice-president of the BMA. He was the lead negotiator for the 2004 GP contract. He is a Council Trustee for the Royal College of General Practitioners, having been a member of the RCGP's council for more than fourteen years. He is the chair of the Men's Health Forum. John Chisholm (executive)
Sir John Alexander Raymond Chisholm (born 27 August 1946) is a British engineer who was chairman of the Medical Research Council and QinetiQ. Chisholm was born in India of Scottish parents, Ruari Ian Lambert Chisholm and Pamela Harland Frank, and brought up in Calcutta. Mairi Chisholm was his great-aunt. He was educated at Worth School, and later attended Cambridge University, reading Mechanical Sciences on a scholarship from General Motors. After completing his studies, he worked at GM from 1968 as a graduate apprentice before joining BP's computer consultancy firm Scicon in 1969. He joined leading systems house CAP and founded a divisional company within that group called CAP Scientific Ltd in 1979 of which he was managing director. John C. "Jock" Chisholm ( 1896 – July 4, 1958) was the first chief constable of the Toronto Police Department and Metropolitan Toronto Police Force until his death in 1958. Chisholm was the first Toronto chief to be appointed with policing experience. John Edwin Chisholm
John Edwin Chisholm (July 6, 1882 – 1964) was a lawyer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Moose Jaw County from 1916 to 1917 as a Conservative. He was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the son of John Chisholm and Christina Isabella Graham, both of Scottish descent. He was educated in Dartmouth, at the Halifax County Academy and at Dalhousie University, receiving a LL.B. in 1906. Later that year, he travelled west to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where he set up practice. Chisholm also owned and operated a large farm. In 1915, he married Edith Simington. Chisholm was elected to the provincial assembly in a 1916 by-election held after John Albert Sheppard resigned his seat. John Alexander Chisholm (1859–1903) was a Canadian inventor and businessman who developed the Chisholm-Scott Pea Viner, an agricultural machine for shelling peas. He sold these machines throughout Canada and the United States through the Chisholm-Scott Company. Early life John Alexander was born in Oakville, Ontario to John Alexander Chisholm, Sr. and Sarah Petit Bigger. He was descended from William Chisholm (Upper Canada politician), the founder of Oakville. John's father owned the 'Oakville Basket Factory', which exposed him to industrial machinery from a young age, giving him the opportunity to develop skills in mechanical engineering.
