John Zephaniah Bell
John Zephaniah Bell (1794–1883) was a Scottish artist. Life He was born in Dundee, where his father William Bell was a tanner, businessman and banker; James Stanislaus Bell was his brother. He studied at the University of Edinburgh, and then went to London where he was a pupil of Martin Archer Shee.National Gallery (Great Britain), ''Descriptive and Historical Catalogue of the Pictures. Life He was born at Paisley on 11 February 1804, the son of John Bell and elder brother to Alexander Montgomerie Bell. John Howatt Bell
John Howatt Bell (December 13, 1846 – January 29, 1929) was a lawyer and politician who served as the 14th premier of Prince Edward Island. Bell was born in Cape Traverse, the son of Walter Bell and Elizabeth Howatt. He was educated at Prince of Wales College and at Albert College in Belleville. After studying law, he was called to the Ontario bar in 1874 and set up practice in Ottawa, Ontario. He moved to Manitoba, was called to the bar there and set up practice in Emerson. In 1882, he married his first cousin, Helen, the daughter of Cornelius Howatt. He returned to Prince Edward Island, was called to the bar, and set up practice in Summerside. Bell entered politics in 1886 when he was elected to the province's legislative assembly as a Liberal. John William Bell
John William Bell (March 18, 1838 – July 5, 1901) was a farmer and Ontario political figure. He representing Addington in the House of Commons of Canada as a Conservative member from 1882 to 1891 and from 1896 to 1901. He was born in Camden Township in Upper Canada in 1838. He obtained a teaching certificate and taught for a number of years and then began farming. He continued to teach religious school and hold a weekly Bible class for the local Methodist church. Bell served as reeve in the township and, in 1879, served as warden for Lennox and Addington counties. In 1889, he supported a motion by William Edward O'Brien which opposed the Jesuits' Estates Act. This legislation was opposed by the Orange Order, of which Bell was a member, because the pope would be involved in resolving the disposition of these properties in Quebec. John R. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC. He was also a notable record producer and artist manager. Richbourg was arguably the most popular and charismatic of the four announcers at WLAC who showcased popular African-American music in nightly programs from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. (The other three were Gene Nobles, Herman Grizzard, and Bill "Hoss" Allen.) Sir John Charles Bell, 1st Baronet (1843–1924) was a British businessman and Lord Mayor of London from 1907 to 1908. Bell was elected a Sheriff of the City of London in 1901 (serving October 1901 to September 1902), together with Horace Brooks Marshall.
