John Bartha
János Bartha (6 February 1915 – 1991), better known as John Bartha, was a Hungarian film actor who appeared primarily in Spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s and 1970s. He is probably most recognizable in western cinema for his role as the Sheriff who captured Tuco in the 1966 Sergio Leone film, ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly''. He made nearly 80 appearances in film between 1951 and 1981. Bartha died in 1991. Plot summary Martin Benson is a Civil War veteran and former outlaw earning money and clearing his name by working as an undercover agent for the US Army. His infiltration of a ring supplying firearms and firewater to Indians has led to the capture and execution of three of the gang, though they would not identify the gang's ringleader. Despite his monetary rewards and the three pistols and gun belts of the executed men that he has posted home to his father, who still believes him to be an outlaw, Benson wants no more of the undercover life. Plot Ringo, a bounty hunter, has killed the father of Glenn Garvin (Glenn Saxson) to collect a bounty. Glenn kills Ringo and then takes his father's body to town to collect the bounty himself. There he befriends Gordon (Fernando Sancho in city clothes and a bowler hat instead of his usual Mexican bandit outfit), who tells Glenn that he stands to inherit half of everything in town, which his father had owned in partnership with Ken Cluster. Cluster's henchman Ward and his men try and fail to kill Glenn, so Cluster robs his own bank and frames Glenn for murder. The Man Who Laughs (1966 Film)
''The Man Who Laughs'' ( it, L'uomo che ride) is a 1966 Italian historical drama film based on the 1869 novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. Plot In this version, the character of Gwynplaine is renamed Angelo (played by Jean Sorel). His disfigurement is represented as a single broad slash across his mouth, crude yet convincing. While he deals with this, he also falls for a beautiful girl named Dea. The story (which is attributed, in the movie credits, to the director, producer and others involved in making the film, but not to Victor Hugo) has the disfigured acrobat being seduced by a noblewoman and in so doing becomes a henchman for the Borgias.
