John Bagneris
John H. Bagneris is an American politician from New Orleans, Louisiana, who represented District 100 in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2016 until 2020. A Democrat, Bagneris sought election to District 3 in the Louisiana State Senate in 2019, but lost to fellow Democrat Joseph Bouie Jr. Biography Baggers first entered politics as a campaign and legislative aide to Louis Charbonnet, who represented District 96 in the Louisiana House of Representatives between 1970 and 1984. He worked for other campaigns and politicians throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Electoral history In 2015, Bagneris ran for District 100 in the Louisiana House of Representatives to succeed term-limited incumbent Austin Badon. 2015 Louisiana Elections
A general election was held in the U.S. state of Louisiana on October 24, 2015. All of Louisiana's executive officers, and both houses of the Louisiana State Legislature were up for election. Under Louisiana's jungle primary system, all candidates appeared on the same ballot, regardless of party and voters voted for any candidate, regardless of their party affiliation. Since no candidate received a majority of the vote during the primary election, a runoff election was held on November 21, 2015 between the top two candidates in the primary. Louisiana is the only state that has a jungle primary system (California and Washington have a similar "top two primary" system). Jean-Paul "JP" Morrell (born 1978) is an American Democratic politician and public defender in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has served as an at-large member of the New Orleans City Council since January 2022. Career Morrell was a member of the Louisiana State Senate for District 3 from 2008 to 2020, and briefly served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2006 to 2008 representing District 97 to fill the unexpired term of his father, Arthur Morrell. He was re-elected to the House in 2007 and served until 2008, before running for the State Senate. He was elected to the Senate in a special election held on December 6, 2008. He served until 2020. In 2021, Morrell won a seat on the New Orleans City Council representing the Division 2 at-large seat. He succeed Donna Glapion. Jason Wynne Hughes is an American politician. He is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from the 100th District, serving since 2019. He is a member of the Democratic party. Education and career Hughes graduated from McDonogh #35 Senior High School. Hughes then attended Southern University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science.
