John Andrew (rugby Union)
John Andrew (born 6 May 1993) is an Irish professional rugby union player who currently plays for Ulster as a hooker. Born in Ballymena, he was part of the Ballymena Academy team that won the Ulster Schools' Cup in 2010. He represented Ireland at under-19 level, and was part of the Ireland squad for the 2013 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, making one start and four appearances from the bench. He came through the Ulster academy system, made his first senior appearance for the province in a friendly against Exeter in August 2014, and signed a development contract in March 2015, and a full senior contract in April 2017. 2020–21 Ulster Rugby Season
The 2020-21 season was Ulster Rugby, Ulster's 27th season since the advent of professionalism in rugby union, and Dan McFarland's third season as head coach. Iain Henderson was captain. They competed in the Pro14, the Pro14 Rainbow Cup, the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup. The Pro14 season was shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the two South African teams unable to compete and the playoffs reduced to a final between the winners of the two conferences. Rory David Best (born 15 August 1982) is an Irish former rugby union player from Northern Ireland and was the captain of the Ireland national team from 2016 to 2019. He played hooker for Ulster and was registered for Banbridge RFC, having previously represented the Newcastle Agrics. Best earned 124 caps for Ireland, making his debut in 2005 and retiring at the end of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, his fourth World Cup.
