John Agnew (footballer)
John Terence Agnew (27 June 1935 – 2002), also known as Terry Agnew, was an English footballer who made 25 appearances in the Football League playing at outside left for Darlington. Agnew was born in Stockton, County Durham, He was previously on the books of Sheffield Wednesday without representing them in the League, and made his Darlington debut as a 19-year-old in September 1954 while still a part-time player. After 25 league appearances over two seasons, he joined Midland League club Corby Town in 1956. Outside football, Agnew completed a doctorate in engineering. Stockton-on-Tees
Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty. Alex Agnew
Alex Agnew (born 22 December 1972) is a Belgian stand-up comedian and hard rock vocalist. According to the Nigel Williams autobiography "Had ik maar een vak geleerd" ("If Only I'd Learned a Proper Trade"), Alex was already an established comedian in Belgium since at least the 1999–2000 season. This is somewhat contradicted by the 2011 show "Larger than Life", celebrating "the best of Agnew 10 years on stage". Undisputedly however, he attained nationwide fame when he became the first Belgian to win the prestigious Dutch ''Leids Cabaret Festival'' in February 2003. After this initial success he has been performing in comedy shows like ''De Bovenste Plank'' and ''Comedy Casino'' on the Belgian television channel Canvas. Midland Football League (1889)
The Midland Football League was a semi-professional football league in England. It acted as a feeder league to the Football League for many years before merging with the Yorkshire League in 1982 to form the Northern Counties East League. Sheffield Wednesday Football Club is a professional association football club based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The team competes in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.
