John A. Walker (Iowa Politician)
John Asher Walker (June 5, 1912 – June 21, 2012) was an American politician in the state of Iowa. Walker was born in Hamilton County, Iowa. He attended Ellsworth Junior College, the American Institute of Business, and Grinnell College, and was a farmer, banker and former employee at J.C. Penney. Walker served in the House of Representatives as a Republican from 1947 to 1955 (district 63), and in the State Senate from 1955 to 1967 (districts 37 and 35). He married Violet Michaels and with her had three children. They would later divorce, and he married Margaret Moeller in 1971. He died on June 21, 2012, at the age of 100 and is buried in Jewell, Iowa Jewell Junction, better known as Jewell, is a city in Hamilton County, Iowa, United States. The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. There are 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing 100 single-member districts across the state, formed by dividing the 50 Senate districts in half. American Institute Of Business
AIB College of Business was an accredited, independent, nonprofit, baccalaureate college of business located in Des Moines, Iowa, in the United States. The college closed on June 30, 2016, after 95 years and gifted its property to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa. The campus was operated by the University of Iowa from 2016 to 2018 when the University of Iowa announced plans to close down and sell the 17-acre campus. The University of Iowa sold the campus property in August 2019, for $7.5 million.
