John-John Dohmen
John-John Dominique Dohmen (born 24 January 1988) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays for Orée and the Belgium national team as a midfielder. Biography John-John Dohmen was born in Anderlecht in 1988, and spent his youth in Ittre. He has graduated in ergotherapy. In 2014, he was a candidate for the Centre démocrate humaniste in the Belgian regional elections in Walloon Brabant. Dohmen started playing hockey when he was five years old, and debuted at Royal Léopold Club in Uccle. He was a player for the Waterloo Ducks until 2020, and since 2013, the captain of the Belgian national team (the "Red Lions"). He has won five national titles, one with Léopold and four with Waterloo. He was named Belgian hockey player of the year for the season 2008–2009. Anderlecht
Anderlecht (, ) is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. 2021 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship was the 18th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the women's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands and was originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021. However, following the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled and took place from 4 to 13 June 2021. The top five teams qualified for the 2023 FIH Hockey World Cup. The hosts Netherlands won the tournament for the sixth time, beating Germany in a 4–1 penalty shoot out after a 2–2 tie. The Euro Hockey League is an annual men's field hockey cup competition organized by the EHF for the very top field hockey clubs in Europe. The competition was launched at the start of the 2007-08 field hockey season when it merged and replaced the men's EuroHockey Club Champions Cup (the champions competition) and the EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup (the Cup Winners' competition). 2018–19 Euro Hockey League
The Euro Hockey League 2018–19 was the twelfth season of the Euro Hockey League, Europe's premier club field hockey tournament, organized by the European Hockey Federation. Round One was held in Barcelona from 5 until 7 October 2018 and the knockout stage was held in Eindhoven from 17 until 22 April 2019. The final was played between Waterloo Ducks and Rot-Weiss Köln. 2014 Belgian Regional Elections
Regional elections were held in Belgium on 25 May 2014 to choose representatives for the Flemish Parliament, Walloon Parliament, Brussels Parliament and the Parliament of the German-speaking Community. Humanist Democratic Centre (french: Centre Démocrate Humaniste, CDH) was a Christian democratic and centrist French-speaking political party in Belgium. Ittre
Ittre (; wa, Ite; nl, Itter, ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. Since the Fusion of the Belgian municipalities in 1977, the municipality is composed of three districts: Haut-Ittre, Ittre and Virginal-Samme. Ittre was the geographical center of Belgium until World War I. The geographical center was moved to Walhain due to the allocation of the East Cantons ( Eupen-Malmédy) to Belgium (Treaty of Versailles).
