Johannis "Ahang" Winar is an Indonesian basketball coach for the Indonesia Patriots of the IBL, the Indonesia national team and was also a former player. Anhang won the Indonesian national title a total of four times. Three times as a player and once as head coach, he further holds several PERBASI Cup titles. Playing career Regional select teams and club career Ahang was selected to join the South Sulawesi team for the 1988 National Championship (Kejurnas) in Semarang where he was top scorer. 1999 SEA Games
The 1999 Southeast Asian Games ( ms, Sukan Asia Tenggara 1999), officially known as the 20th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. This was the first time Brunei hosted the Southeast Asian Games and also in Borneo island. These were the last to have ever staged during the 20th century, and this was the only occasion, to date, that Brunei had held the SEA Games. Around 2,365 athletes from 10 participating nations participated at the Brunei Games, which featured 233 events in 21 sports. Basketball at the 1997 Southeast Asian Games was held from 12 to 18 October 1997 in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. This edition featured both tournaments for men's and women's team. All matches were held in Senayan Basketball Sports Hall. The Philippines were able to defend their title by defeating their round robin dementors and last edition's bronze medallists Malaysia in the championship match, 96–86, for their fourth consecutive title since 1991 and their 10th overall title. Meanwhile, last edition's silver medallists Thailand was relegated to third place after besting the hosts Indonesia, 68–57. In the women's event, Malaysia reclaimed the championship by defeating the defending champions Thailand, 67–58 for their ninth overall title. Satria Muda Pertamina is an Indonesian basketball team seeing action through the Perbasi's highest division since 1996. Based in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, it is Indonesia's representative team to the inaugural Asean Basketball League. Affectionately called ''"SM Pertamina"'' or ''"SMP"''. Indonesia Men's National Basketball Team
The Indonesia men's national basketball team represents the Republic of Indonesia in international basketball competitions. The governing body of the team is the ''Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia'' (Indonesian Basketball Association – ''PERBASI''). Its biggest success was the gold medal at the 1996 South East Asian Championship. Team Indonesia is one of the major teams in Southeast Asia. The team finished among the top-four teams in Asia at the 1967 Asian Basketball Championship. At the 1996 SEABA Championship, Indonesia was the dominant country and won the gold medal.
