Johannes Holbek (13 November 1872, in Årby, near Kalundborg – 14 May 1903, in Copenhagen) was a Danish painter and graphic artist. Biography His father was a parish priest. He graduated from the Roskilde Cathedral School in 1891 and was admitted to the Copenhagen Technical College the following year, where he studied with the artist, . Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson (6 August 1809 – 6 October 1892) was an English poet. He was the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign. In 1829, Tennyson was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal at Cambridge for one of his first pieces, "Timbuktu". He published his first solo collection of poems, ''Poems, Chiefly Lyrical'', in 1830. Vejen Art Museum
Vejen Art Museum ( da, Vejen Kunstmuseum) is an art gallery in Vejen Municipality in the south of Jutland, Denmark. It specializes in works from the end of the 19th century in styles including Symbolism (arts), Symbolism and Art Nouveau. Created in 1924 to house the works of sculptor and ceramist Niels Hansen Jacobsen (1861–1941), it also displays works by Einar August Nielsen (1872–1956) Jens Lund (1871–1924), Thorvald Bindesbøll (1846–1908), Harald Slott-Møller (1864-1937) and many others. The original museum building was designed by the local builder, Niels Ebbesen Grue (1879-1937). The museum has been expanded several times, the first time in 1938 and again in 1959. Asger Oluf Jorn (3 March 1914 – 1 May 1973) was a Danish painter, sculptor, ceramic artist, and author. He was a founding member of the avant-garde movement COBRA and the Situationist International. He was born in Vejrum, in the northwest corner of Jutland, Denmark, and baptized Asger Oluf Jørgensen. Robert Storm Petersen (19 September 1882 – 6 March 1949) was a Danish cartoonist, writer, animator, illustrator, painter and humorist. He is known almost exclusively by his pen name Storm P. Biography He was the son of a butcher and grew up in Copenhagen in a lower middle class environment. After interrupted studies at the Academy of Art, he worked as a free-lance painter, illustrator and cabaret entertainer.
