Johann Aloys Miksch
Johann (Nepomuk) Aloys Miksch (19 July 1765 – 24 September 1845); sometimes spelled ''Mie(c)ksch'' or ''Johannes'') was a Bohemian singer, (tenor) and singing teacher. Life Born in St. Georgenthal in Bohemia, in 1777 Miksch became boys' choir of the Dresden court chapel, where he received lessons in singing as well as on the piano and organ. He received his first piano and singing lessons from his father, a cantor and organist in St. Georgenthal. Miksch also studied composition under the ''Kapellmeister'' Schuster and in 1783 found employment with the Catholic court church music as a baritone. At the age of 20, he made his first appearance as an opera singer in Dresden. In 1786, he became a ceremonial singer at the Katholische Hofkirche. In 1797, he became tenor of the Italian Opera in Dresden. Clara Josephine Schumann (; née Wieck; 13 September 1819 – 20 May 1896) was a German pianist, composer, and piano teacher. Regarded as one of the most distinguished pianists of the Romantic era, she exerted her influence over the course of a 61-year concert career, changing the format and repertoire of the piano recital by lessening the importance of purely virtuosic works. Constantin Von Wurzbach
Constantin Wurzbach Ritter von Tannenberg (11 April 1818 – 17 August 1893) was an Austrian biographer, lexicographer and author. Biography He was born in Laibach, Carniola (present-day Ljubljana, Slovenia).He later went on to complete a course in philosophy and published poetry in local periodicals, inspired by the work of Nikolaus Lenau and Anastasius Grün. At the request of his father, he began studying jurisprudence at Graz, which he, however, abandoned after two years. Instead, he joined the Austrian army and served in a Galician infantry regiment at Cracow from 1837. As a cadet, he continued to publish poems under the pseudonym ''W. Constant''. Francesco Morlacchi
Francesco Giuseppe Baldassare Morlacchi (14 June 1784 – 28 October 1841) was an Italian composer of more than twenty operas. During the many years he spent as the royal Royal Kapellmeister in Dresden, he was instrumental in popularizing the Italian style of opera. Biography Born in Perugia, Morlacchi was from a family of musicians. He composed from a very young age, first studying with his uncle Giovanni Mazzetti and later with Luigi Caruso in Perugia. He later studied at Loreto with Zingarelli (1803-4). Finally, he ended up in Bologna at the school of Stanislao Mattei (1805) where he met Gioacchino Rossini. Heinrich Ferdinand Mannstein, real name Heinrich Ferdinand Steinmann, (16 September 1806 – 3 August 1872) was a German singing teacher, writer and music critic. Life Born in Berggießhübel, Mannstein attended the Dresden Kreuzschule and the St. Thomas School, Leipzig as Gymnasiast. Friederike Funk, married name La Grua bzw. Funk La Grua (14 November 1796 - after 1863) was a German operatic soprano and Royal Saxon Kammersinger in Dresden. Agnese Schebest, ''née'' ''Agnese Šebesta'', also ''Agnese Schebesta'' (10 February 1813 – 22 December 1869) was an Austrian operatic mezzo-soprano.
