Jogi (2005 Film)
''Jogi'' is a 2005 Indian Kannada-language action film written and directed by Prem. It stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jennifer Kotwal and Arundathi Nag. Jogi was released on 19 August 2005. Record box office collection was reported across Karnataka and the movie completed 100 days in more than 61 theaters. The film was noted for its technical prowess, colloquial Kannada dialogue and lyrics. Its story revolves around an old lady who comes to the city from her village in search of her presumably lost son. It was remade in Telugu as ''Yogi'' and in Tamil as ''Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram''. Gurukiran scored the music, while director Prem penned lyrics for all the songs. The audio, released by Ashwini Audio, was a critical and commercial success. The film turned out as highest grossing Kannada movie of the year 2005. ''Jogi-jeot'' () or salted yellow croaker is a variety of ''jeotgal'' (salted seafood), made with yellow croakers. In Korean cuisine, ''jogi-jeot'' is widely used as ''banchan'' (side dish), as a condiment, or as an ingredient for kimchi. History Korean people have eaten yellow croakers for a very long time, as ''Shuowen Jiezi'', an early 2nd-century Chinese dictionary, reports that yellow croakers were caught in Lelang, and that a Han commandery existed within the Korean peninsula. Preparation Fresh yellow croakers, with lustrous scales and a chubby belly, caught in May to June. are preferred. Croakers are washed and drained on ''sokuri'' (bamboo tray), then stuffed with coarse salt, and laid on a salt-lined ''onggi'' (earthenware jar). Santhosh Jogi ( 1975 – 13 April 2010) was an Indian film actor and singer who acted in more than 30 films in Malayalam cinema. He marked his debut in a 2004 Malayalam movie, ''Two Wheeler''. His most memorable roles were in ''Mayavi'', in which he played the main villain role, and in '' Keerthichakra'', in which he played the role of a military officer. Amit Jogi (born 7 August 1977) is an American-born Indian politician. Early life Jogi is the son of former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi. He was supposedly an Indian citizen by birth, and became an Indian citizen in July 2004 or 2002. Ajit Pramod Kumar Jogi (29 April 1946 29 May 2020) was an Indian politician, who served as the first chief minister of Chhattisgarh, India. He was a member of the political party named Janta Congress Chhattisgarh. Education Jogi studied Mechanical Engineering at Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), Bhopal. Jogi (Afghanistan)
There are several ethnic groups in Afghanistan which traditionally lead a peripatetic life. This means they are nomadic and their main occupations centre around providing services to the settled populations they travel among, like peddling particular goods or performing music. In this way, they contrast both with the settled population and with the pastoralist nomads. They are of low social status and are known to outsiders as ''Jats'', a derogatory term that none of the groups use as a self-designation.
